Every project starts with people

Everyone brings their own expertise, personality and way of thinking. Together, we form a team that can look at a challenge from different angles, challenge ideas, come up with solutions, test them and turn them into results.

u.comms team

For each project, we build a team around its specific needs. Everyone brings their own area of expertise, but we work together throughout.

Uliana Kolodii

Founder & CEO

Uliana doesn’t believe in Mercury retrograde. Most problems in this world have nothing to do with the planets and everything to do with poor communication. And that means they can be solved. With meticulous attention to detail, a taste for adventure and seemingly endless energy, Uliana knows how to get things done. From navigating crises and developing strategies to protecting clients’ reputations, she brings a practical approach to every challenge. Creative thinking is another part of the toolkit, backed by extensive experience working with businesses, civil society and the public sector. A fan of detective stories and deadlines, Uliana has little patience for laziness, passive attitudes or standing still.
Management

Taras Svyryd

Co-founder, lawyer

A sharp lawyer and mediator with close-combat skills. Taras loves heavy metal and heavy-hitting court cases. With extensive experience in trademark, patent and copyright registration, Taras also helps businesses, civil society initiatives and volunteer projects establish the right legal entities and structures. His legal practice includes protecting clients’ dignity, honour and business reputation, as well as challenging and cancelling trademarks registered by bad-faith competitors. Sometimes, he thinks he’s Harvey Specter.
Management

Polina Levytska

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Polina is the person who knows what’s going on across the company and makes sure everything runs smoothly. Processes, deadlines, documents and day-to-day operations stay on track, giving the team room to focus on their work. From handling client requests and coordinating with the team to sorting out finances and fixing the spreadsheet that, for some reason, decided to break today, Polina keeps things moving. If everything is calm and nothing is on fire, chances are Polina has already put it out.
PR and Communications

Maryna Kalinichenko

Financial Specialist

Detail-oriented and passionate about keeping numbers accurate, documents in order and everything fully compliant with legislation. Closely follows changes in accounting and tax regulations and can genuinely enjoy reading a new regulation before it becomes a topic of discussion. Experienced in managing several projects simultaneously, keeping track of budgets, figures and details while handling complex tasks. Good accounting is not just about numbers, but also about spotting potential risks several steps ahead and making sure everything is done correctly, transparently and in compliance with the law. Outside work, an active lifestyle is just as important, with a love for walking, mountains, outdoor activities and the underwater world. Anything that brings a change of scenery, new experiences and fresh energy is always welcome.
SMM

Daryna Shyshova

Head of SMM

Daryna leads social media and influencer marketing for clients, turning brands into digital stories people want to follow and share. For Daryna, social content should do more than collect likes. It should serve a clear business purpose, with every Reel and post working as a strategic move rather than just a pretty picture. Although, naturally, it will be a pretty picture too.
PR and Communications

Dmytro Blinov

Communications & Creative Specialist

A creative and communications specialist with 20 years of experience in media and PR, working at the intersection of strategy, creativity and communications. From communication strategies and creative concepts to full-scale campaigns, the focus is on turning complex challenges into clear, effective solutions. Equally comfortable developing a campaign from scratch or tackling a complex reputation challenge.
PR and Communications

Nataliia Kovhan

Communications Manager

Nataliia builds communications on ethics, context and ideas that matter. Complex, highly specialized topics become stories that resonate with a wider audience while keeping clients’ reputations safe. An eye for detail, a sense of trends and the ability to stay calm under pressure are skills sharpened not only at work, but also through birdwatching. For Nataliia, good communications, much like birdwatching, are about paying close attention, reading the situation and knowing exactly when to act.
Content

Maryna Pohorilko

Head of Content

Maryna writes everything from short-form copy to long-form pieces and edits ruthlessly. Curly quotes and em dashes are, in her view, signs of human literacy, not AI. Her superpower is finding the precise wording that serves a brand’s goals. Her credo: “There’s always something to refine.” Any text can be made sharper, stronger and more effective.
Management

Olesia Hnidenko

New business manager

Olesia works with prospective clients, prepares proposals and tender submissions, leads negotiations and helps u.comms and its clients find the best way to work together. Budgets and complex cost spreadsheets are familiar territory, where one extra digit could, theoretically, bankrupt the agency or the client. Dozens of details, deadlines and revisions stay under control, while somehow the status of that tender everyone else has already forgotten about remains safely in memory.
Design

Anna Khromieieva

Graphic Designer

Perfect shapes, flawless colours and the most subtle combinations. Anna finds all of these in nature, where much of her inspiration comes from. With a perfectionist’s eye for detail, she turns every presentation, layout, collage, animation and infographic into a polished final product. Anyone who settles for “good enough” should, in her view, be given a design brief with no instructions, no references and one simple requirement: “Just make it pretty.”
Content

Nadiia Kucherenko

Videographer

There was a spark between her and content, and it grew into a full-blown creative fire. Video is one of the most powerful ways to build a genuine connection with an audience, and that belief shapes her approach to content. For her, any idea can become brilliant when you put your heart into it.
PR and Communications

Hanna Mostova

Communications Coordinator

Hanna supports the team and keeps projects on track. Tasks stay coordinated, deadlines stay in check and communication with clients runs smoothly. Always ready to step in, keep things moving and make sure nothing gets lost along the way.
Design

Yuliia Kunytska

Graphic Designer

Yuliia loves making brands more beautiful, clear and distinctive. Her work spans brand identity, social media, presentations, merch and everything else that helps a business build a recognizable visual voice. Rarely settling on the first idea, she can spend a long time searching for the right mood, shape or detail until everything comes together as a cohesive whole. Good design, in her view, needs clear logic behind it, with a specific reason for every decision. Inspiration also comes from outside work, through creative activities, experimenting with colour and finding ways to switch off and recharge. It all helps bring a fresh perspective to every new project.
Design

Yuliia Stepanenko

Graphic Designer

Yuliia works across brand identity, motion, social media, presentations and merch, basically anything that makes a brand visible and recognizable. Turning a brief into a cohesive visual system comes naturally, with good design expected to look great, work well and solve a specific problem. Visuals should be rooted in strategy, with every decision having a reason beyond “it looks nice”. Used to thinking through making, Yuliia usually has another ten ideas behind every final version. Creativity also finds an outlet in knitting, experimenting with colours, textures and shapes much like in design. Strength yoga and Pilates provide a way to recharge, with patience being the one soft skill that connects all these interests, and design too.
PR and Communications

Iryna Petrenko

Project Manager

Iryna manages projects and has a remarkable talent for remembering who needs to send what, when and to whom. Deadlines, tasks, revisions, calls, spreadsheets, clients and the team all stay under control, somehow keeping every moving part on track. Iryna knows that a “small tweak” is rarely small, “let’s get this approved quickly” can easily take three days, and a message saying “just a quick question” can turn into an entirely new project. If everything is running according to plan, it’s because Plan B, Plan C and, quite possibly, Plan D have already been thought through.
SMM

Yuliia Kapustenko

SMM Manager

Yuliia leads social media and has a rare talent for explaining why a brand needs TikTok, Reels, Stories and the 17 other formats that appeared while everyone was still trying to figure out the previous ones. Keeping up with trends, coming up with content ideas, engaging with audiences and knowing when to post, and when it’s better to post nothing at all, are all part of the job. Yuliia can also explain why a serious expert post got 14 likes while a video of a cat staring at a wall got several thousand views.
PR and Communications

Antonina Kucherenko

Communications Manager

Antonina knows how to turn information into stories people actually want to read. Her experience spans media, government and civil society organizations, international teams and businesses. Seeing a client’s needs from both the media’s and the audience’s perspective helps her find the angle that matters to everyone. She quickly gets up to speed in new fields, comes up with unconventional solutions and always has a Plan B when Plan A falls apart. Constant learning is part of the job. After her hundredth training course, she stopped counting. The best investments, in her view, are in education and health. Outside work, dancing and books are her favourite ways to unwind.
